It not only tastes delicious but gives you enough energy to start your day. Don’t worry, it doesn’t have that bitter coffee taste. Califia expands to new heights

Califia Farms is expanding it’s selection from Cold Brew Coffee, Coffee Creamers, Juices, Plant Milks, and seasonal flavors like my favorite Pumpkin Spiced Latte. I hope they open a coffee shop next.

Seriously though, I have an unhealthy obsession with Califia’s XX Expresso Cold Brew Coffee and don’t worry they have everyone covered. You can pick from a wide array of coffee including Cocoa Noir Cold Brew Coffee, Mocha Mexica Cold Brew Coffee, Dirty Chai Cold Brew Coffee, Salted Caramel Cold Brew, Cafe Latte Cold Brew Coffee, and others.

The non-dairy industry is on the rise as more people consume less and less dairy. Califia makes a naturally good quality dairy-free blend of milks and coffee. It will leave you wanting more.  It’s non-grainy, fresh, smooth flavors are magnificently addicting!

Cheers, 2 thumbs up!

Get lyfted

Get lyfted. With your all natural coffee extract energy stick, pure LYFT can be added to your beverage of choice and easily fits into your bag or backpack for long daunting days. I put my LYFT stick into my fresh brewed tea blend and stirred. Immediately, I felt like I had a burst of energy. It has zero calories and is completely vegan without any artificial flavors or preservatives. Better yet, it’s non-GMO certified. Note to self: I did feel like my energy started dwindling after an hour or so.  Peel and stir in your natural caffeine.

Let’s get liftin’

Caffeine Addicts Go Coco!

Caffeine addicts go coconuts with Coconut Cloud’s  dairy-free, carrageenan and titanium dioxide free coffee creamer. But, wait  what is carrageenan? It’s a chemical and a gelatin replacer for most vegan and vegetarian foods. Shockingly, carrageenan is found in most organic and non-dairy food products. Yikes, it hinders digestion and can even contribute to diabetes. Make sure to check your labels. Christa Alexis top pick of the week is…

coconut cloud creamer

Coconut Cloud is a powder based coffee creamer made from coconuts with simple ingredients including coconut cream, tapioca syrup, rice starch, and di potassium phospate. Each serving only has 2 grams of sugar. Get your coffee brewing and mix in Coconut Cloud’s creamer for coconut goodness!

Let’s be honest, we all need that caffeine pick me up and what could be better than a non-dairy, non-GMO coconut based coffee creamer. Available for purchase on Amazon!

Foodie pick of the day: The Buttered Biscuit (Bradley Beach)

Located in the heart of Bradley Beach, NJ The Buttered Biscuit has a great selection of homemade breakfast and lunch foods. It gets even better with a bottomless cup o’Joe for only $2.25 in a cozy old fashioned feel. All of the eggs and omelets are served with their praiseworthy freshly baked biscuits or toast and home fries. Choose from the specials of the day: Stuffed french toast with Bavarian cream topped with chocolate shavings, grilled Swiss cheese on sour dough bread with bacon, or clam chowder soup. Prices range between $8-10 dollars, choose from black bean burgers, crab cake sandwiches, whole wheat chicken and cajun style wraps, salads, fruits and brown sugar oatmeal. A twist of a southern flair, a family friendly spot with fresh food and excellent staff, foodie fav is obviously the biscuit served with organic strawberry jam and cinnamon flavored butter which is to die for. Take a music trip back to the 70’s, a few of the noteworthy songs from Bee Gee’s “Night Fever,” “KC and The Sunshine Band’s, “That’s The Way I Like It,” and Chic’s, “Le Freak” will make you eat in retro style. Come again and remember it’s “A Happier Way To Start Your Day.” Started by Liz and Dave McAllister in 2011, The Buttered Biscuit is a family-owned restaurant with vegetarian friendly dishes.
